About Us
Steve and Kathy Beirne, editors and publishers of Foundations, have been married for almost 40 years. They have lived in Massachusetts, Missouri and Maine (as well as New York and New Jersey). They draw on their own personal experience of marriage, as well as their over 20 years of work as marriage educators. Kathy has an MA from the University of Missouri in Child and Family Development, and Steve has extensive experience as a speaker on topics of marriage and family life. Together they have written one book and dozens of articles for nationalpublications. Basically, they see themselves as cheerleaders for new marriages. They know that establishing good skills at the beginning of a marriage is easier and more sensible than trying to change bad habits after they begin to hurt.
Steve and Kathy have been publishing Foundations for the past 15 years.
